40 Quarantine Dreams (40 sueños en cuarentena)
40 Quarantine Dreams (40 sueños en cuarentena) is a short video work revealing drawings made by artist Eduardo Navarro during the recent lockdown in Argentina. The series of drawings act as a tool to ‘filter’ thoughts from the artist’s mind during quarantine and demonstrates Eduardo’s ongoing interest in different ways of transforming our senses to gain a new understanding of our world.
Through the gesture of a hand and the flicker of the projector, the video work evokes a sense of intimacy and pertinence at a moment when touch is precarious and precious. The unpretentious drawings act as a conduit to clarify online saturation and function as a meditative space for new possibilities in understanding and experiencing our reality and time.
